Anything from an adult shop would make me feel uncomfertable if I just met someone! I don't even like flowers, but then everyone she works with will see that you sent them. Kind of depends on where you are in life/where she is. If you or someone close to you is currently in crisis or in an emergency situation, contact your local law enforcement agency or emergency number.
Btw : pillows, stuffed animals and blankets are never a bad idea unlesss she has astma. If everyone around her is going all out, and she seems like the type who would expect that, you should do that, too.
Also thanks for the honest opinion on the starbucks card or stuffed animal, your right, those ideas suck! If you just started dating then you don't want to get anything expensive or anything long-lasting, which basically narrows it down to something consumable or something perishable, and she's counting calories so chocolate is out. Get tickets to an event or an experience she'd love (something you can do with her), or a getaway weekend. perhaps something like the karma sutra body powder or something along that line.
She's near NYC so there must be a billion things to choose from.. Groupon isn't a terrible place to start for this kind of thing. And then dinner somewhere was just talked about on the phone with her, so I'm figuring i'll do that..
Also thanks for the honest opinion on the starbucks card or stuffed animal, your right, those ideas suck! If she's really that much into you as you are into her she'll just enjoy spending time with you! Candy is okay, but Godiva is kind of too popular in my opinion.
Its not international sex day, its valentines day, the day of overrated/overpriced love.. So make sure that whatever you give to her, doesnt make her feel awkward! Go with truffles from a small candy shop (may be too late, in my town they take special orders only) and a note that says you're glad you met. I could do something like strawberries or the truffles someone mentioned. I've been thinking it over through the ride home and I think I am going to go with something small from Godiva, something small and intimate from an adult store..So I don't want to give her something that is counter-productive to that goal she has. So many meaningful ideas are spoken and sitting there...We have spent a great deal of time talking to each other about a great many things and there is some chemistry going on here that I am expecting to develop into something more (there is just some additional issues to deal with that I am going to also post about in a separate topic) So mulling over ideas. but we're too branded and go with what the commercials say to go with.I can do it again, but I do not want to repeat something so soon....I am looking for something small, yet different, and sincere.
Love it or hate it, Valentine's Day is just around the corner.
